Reflection: “Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.” Philippians 3:17
Response: Paul encourages the Philippian Church to follow him as He follows Christ. To follow means to go after or pursue after a lifestyle that is pleasing to God. A believer’s walk should reflect the love of Christ and the salvific work of Christ. Paul warns the Philippians about the demise of those who do not follow a proper example or walk accordingly.
We are each responsible to proactively walk in this standard. We cannot blame our circumstances or our emotions on other people. We still must show and represent ourselves as servants of God despite our circumstances.
In everything we demonstrate Christ-like attributes such as, purity, patience, kindness, and genuine love. As true followers of Christ we die to our flesh and nature so that Christ’s ministry of reconciliation continues through us in everything—thoughts, desires, words, actions, and motives.
Live exceptionally- in balance, freedom, and rest. ™ The Lord’s desire is for every believer to be diligent in following Him so that we completely connect and sync with His divine will. He desires for our lives to mirror His purpose and call.
